Heat pumps work like refrigerators in reverse pumping the warmth from the source of heat into your home. Ground source heat pumps recover the heat from a network of pipes laid under ground level. A heat pump can turn every kilowatt of the electricity required to run the pump into 3 or 4 kilowatts of heat - enough to heat the domestic hot water and Underfloor heating system.

Using current figures on average the initial cost of the heat pump is returned in energy savings within 6 to 10 years depending on the project with no further fossil fuel cost to pay.
